Saudi Arabia announces 300 Riyals as Visa fee with introducing online Visa policies

Are you still confused about new policies of visa-especially in the matter of Hajj and Umrah travelling? What is the newly approved restructuring of Hajj and Umrah system?

Now. Saudi Arabia has introduced new policies in this regard.

I was a little confused about it until my parents had not visited Saudi Arabia for Umrah this current month (September). Nowadays, I am living in the USA, whereas my parents are residing in the UK. But now my mind is evident when they told me that this new system is very reliable for us to perform it.

I want to share my information in this matter which I got from my parents who have performed it recently.

International media reported that now, Saudi Council of Ministers has recently approved restricting of visa system for Hajj & Umrah performers as well as for visitors and transit passengers.

Now pilgrim can apply for Umrah from any place as like his/her home, office, etc. because Saudi Arabia has introduced the new electronic system in this regard.

Previously, pilgrims paid extra 2000 SAR fee if they repeat their Umrah in 2 years. May it was much costly for them. Mostly Muslims waited for ending the two years so that they go to Kingdom again for this journey with a standard fee.

This year, the Government of Saudi Arabia has ended the restriction of 2 years, and now every Muslim can only perform Umrah within SAR 300+taxes.

According to the decision, the new fee to be charged for single entry for three months on the visit visa for Hajj or Umrah, business or tourism, or other purposes. All visas period is one year as all the pilgrims will have to pay 5 per cent tax.

There are some new rules that now pilgrims will only travel with organized and licensed agencies. Insurance of health and vehicles for visitors also included in these new regulations.

Saudi Minister (Dr. Muhammad Salih Bentin) says the decree would accredit the achievement of one of the most important objectives of the Vision 2030 reform plan to welcome 30 million Umrah performers by that year.

Bentin thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman on the point of the issuance of the royal decree in this regard. He also said that royal decree is a part of the leadership’s degree to facilitate the arrival of Muslims from every corner of the world to perform the pilgrimage.

It appears somewhere that Kingdom’s readiness to receive the increasing number of pilgrims through massive infrastructure projects and improving the system of services in Holy cities and around sites.

After knowing this information about the new system, I am appreciated of the Government of Saudi Arabia who has planned such policy.

No one needs to go any agent for visa because anyone can get an Online Visa within 24 hours. So this is breaking news for every pilgrim. Now Saudi has also ended the two years restriction for every visitor. The purpose of Saudi Arabia — to eliminate possible obstacles during the journey of Muslims for Hajj and Umrah.
