This shift away from the creatively unbounded search phase to the replicated phase wherein so much resources are poured into HR cookie cutters and other bureaucratic toxic waste, is necessary because of business models which require huge economies-of-scale in order to become profitable. But is that the future?
Heck as a one-man company I generated $millions in profitability (in 2017 dollars) with CoolPage.com back at the turn of century. I pondered recently about major MMORPG game companies and realized if we disintermediate the 1000s of servers then goodbye to a huge albatross of HR toxic waste. Thus enabling indie development teams to be lean.
So Facebook earns a measily 5 cents per day for the average 50 minutes that a N.American users spends on their site or app. That is poverty directed!
What I’m driving towards is the so called build phase appears to be the death stage into centralization. We’re going to disintermediate that phase hopefully.
Maybe instead we should be writing about rethinking the paradigm.
