differences in opinions
It is no secret that in America today, there is a lot of racial tension. The recent issue with the confederate flag and whether or not it should be completely outlawed supports this realization that America may still be segregated even though persons of all races are deemed free by the supreme court. With this tension comes groups that people form, the black panther movement and the KKK are extreme representations of this, but they do not take their opposers position lightly.
Recently, after the state of South Carolina ruled that the confederate flag would no longer be represented at their state house, both of these extremist parties showed up to voice their opinions. A lot took place during this event. Fist-Fighting, quarreling, arrests, and even debates are examples of what happened, but not much of it can be seen as effective in promoting peace and unity. Whats the point of doing these marches and protests if it does not ultimately benefit society as a whole. Well its pretty simple, because one group does not want to be associated with the other, which has much to do with a persons heart rather than there position in life. To some this might sound like an invalid argument, which is probably why people have been fighting over religion and human rights for thousands of years, but in all seriousness when is that ever going to cease to exist? It seems like it is getting worse, and banning a flag does not seem to be doing anybody any good..Below are some photos that go against what these groups would want to see and I think that they are more powerful than the protests itself.
