Can an Owl Become a Chicken?

My natural disposition is not one of a morning person. I have become more and more matinale because it is the one time of the day that I know that I can write. My three youngest children who are still at home are all night owls like their mother. So here am I, an owl in a flock of owls, desperately trying to become a chicken for my art.

I smile when I read so much of others’ experiences when they recount the “quiet hours of the morning” that they while away with pen and paper. My major challenge every morning was getting everyone out the door the right time.
