Content mills often get a bad name. Many freelance writers don’t believe that you should ever work for content mills, simply because you aren’t paid as well as you could be. That being said, many others only write for these types of sites.

Unsure about whether you should try a content mill? Here are some of the benefits of writing through a content mill.

The main benefit of content mills is that if your writing gets accepted by the client (and you work for a reputable site), you will get paid.

Most writers know how much money they need to make to pay for their expenses. By writing for content mills, you can have a clear picture in your head of how much you need to write in order to make a certain amount of money each day, week, or even month. This actively combats the problems of waiting for residual (or passive) income, which is another common way to make money writing.

Although the advantages of earning money clearly and methodically are great, the downsides of scarce work are the biggest hindrance in the world of content mills. If there is no consistency in the amount of work that is available, there is no way to judge how much money you can earn.
