High School Teachers Teaching Things Against Religions Is It OK?

In all schools there are children that believe in many different things. The question is if it is ok for teachers to teach against a belief and is it ok for a teacher to make a child answer a question that goes against their beliefs.

We have all heard people say the separation of church and state. But what does the constitution say about this matter? “ Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”- Constitution of United States of America 1789 (rev. 1992). This dose show that on either side of believing something is real or not. Everyone has the right to say what they believe. This would give students and teachers alike the right to say what they believe.

Where trouble comes up is for a student. If a student answers a question that in their belief is the right answer but to the teacher is the wrong answer then what should the teacher do? If the teacher marks the answer as wrong then that is the same as saying what to student believes is wrong. Also this would lower the student's grade on the paper meaning they are being punished for what they believe. If the teacher does nothing about it some would find this unfair to the other students.

This is a touchy topic and more discussion about it is needed. We all need to decide where we stand. On either side students will be affected. It is said at schools and everywhere people are to be treated equal. No matter what they look like or what they believe. But what if a student is being affected negatively for what they believe. Due to a topic in there school is against what they believe.
