Thank you so much for this list. I’m just a couple of months in. I’m really lucky to have a wonderfully supportive husband, and every time he catches me saying something like “if it’s not working in 6 months, I’ll give up and go back to corporates”, he pulls me right back into line. It’ll take as long as it takes, right?

I’m still struggling to find the right routine. I don’t have an issue with loneliness (luckily), or not taking enough time off. My problem lands more on the side of trying to tackle every idea at once. I feel like I have an overwhelming list of things I “should” be doing: I should be posting work every day, I should be personally engaging a new reader every day, I should be pitching every day, I should be researching every day, I should be writing a chapter every day, I should be answering every email every day, I should be… My “ideas” notebook is overflowing, and even with “all the time in the world” that us freelancers have, I’m worried I let the “right” ones slip through the cracks because I’m trying to do them all. Hopefully, in about ten months, I’ll have reached a more centered, focused place — you’ve given me a bit of a beacon with this list. Thank you! :)
