Sherif El-Refai Has Years of Experience In The Field of Pharmacy

Sherif El-Refai is a trained and well-educated pharmacist with a great industry knowledge and clinical experience. Currently, he is earning a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Florida with a focus on global management, marketing, and competitive strategy.

Prior to this, Sherif El-Refai worked in retail pharmacy. Between 2008–2011, he completed clinical training, worked at a national pharmacy chain while enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). he also conducted research at hospitals in the states of Washington and North Carolina. The cancer research he performed was submitted for the publication to the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacists.

During his enrolment, he also created a business proposal to add a pharmacy in the Emergency Department at UNC hospital. He also presented to audiences of pharmacy students and pharmacists on topics ranging from cancer to vaccines. He earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in the year 2011.

Sherif El-Refai has been graduated from UNC with a Bachelor of Science in the year 2010. he made the Deans list and earned a position in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Further, he went on to complete his Doctor of Pharmacy, also at UNC, during which time he undertook multiple clerkships. He completed a clerkship focused on intensive care unit trauma at Pitt County Memorial Hospital and another focused on Clinical Pathways in Oncology at UNC Memorial Hospitals, among others, till date, he has completed 10 clerkships.

When it comes to the level of proficiency in the field of pharmacy, Sherif El-Refai is committed to understanding all the aspects of the practice and has experience in developing and submitting business plans that incorporate pharmacy services into pre-existing medical departments. He holds certification in pharmacy-based immunization delivery; basic life support; and advanced cardiac life support, anticoagulation, hypertension and lipids, and diabetes.

From August of 2006 until March of 2007, Mr. El-Refai has been developing his professional experience starting as a pharmacy technician at Eckerd’s Pharmacy . He then gained experience as a government sales and operations intern at Ideal Precision Meter Co., before working as a pharmacist at Noble Pharmacy in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Besides his professional life, he also believes in giving back to the society. Mr. Sherif El-Refai and his team distributed school supplies, toys, clothes, food, and medical supplies and treated 1,700 patients.
