Thanks for this very visual, nostalgic and funny piece. Takes me back to my years at Wildwood Elementary, in Calgary, where things were mostly warm and enriching, but we had a couple of old toads, too. Laughed out loud a couple of times reading this, and enjoyed the images of pre-TV life.
