Your perception of the beginning is so laser-sharp, so articulate, so erudite, that I must watch this movie again (preferably with you if you weren’t so far away) so you could explain every nuance that I missed and as a result was underwhelmed.

Your version of the film is so much more compelling and mesmerizing than what I actually watched — I obviously wasn’t paying attention. AND just in case you didn’t know, my amazing Jules, you are a fucking magnificent writer. I do not throw that out as a casual compliment or aside. I mean you are a truly magnificent writer and I would buy any book you wrote and pay full price for the hard cover. Seriously.
