Oh Soumit Banerjee, I feel I owe you an apology. In our economy and the pressures for us older folks to stay afloat financially, the work place is bloated and difficult to say the least.
You are right. It is extremely difficult for younger people starting out today. Even with college degrees it is not easy to get a good job with a promising future.
There are obvious exceptions in tech where coders are in high demand, from what I understand, but I don’t know if that is even something you are interested in.
I admire and respect your appreciation of your parents more than you can know.
The one thing that has saved me throughout my life, sometimes wonderful and sometimes horrific, is gratitude. It sounds like you have quite a handle on that already, which already puts you far ahead of the crowd.
I wish you all the best, Soumit, and hope that you will find a career that brings you joy as well as a good living and that you will never lose your gratitude, beautiful humility and appreciation for all that is good. ❤
