Water: It’s Not Your Problem

Your story is truly frightening. I live in Southern California in a mountain forest that has been hugely affected by our drought. We ration water but not as extremely as your situation.

The most terrifying effect of the drought for us is the constant threat of forest fires, 2 of which we’ve had in the last 2 months. My husband lost his home to a forest fire in 2003 and the drought is now worse than ever. We used to have fire season but now it is a threat almost year round. Do you have the same fire issues where you are?

Meanwhile there is more building and we are giving our water away for a song to Nestle Corporation while our bills get higher and higher, the water more and more scarce and the wells are running or have run dry.

Thank you for shining a light on this massive human and environmental tragedy. I will keep you close to my heart.
