As a former English teacher and the daughter of an English teacher, grammatical mistakes in general just send me but apostrophe errors in particular make me want to commit heinous crimes. My red pen is probably still dreaded in certain quarters, although I’ve tried to get it under control for the sake of my blood pressure. Maybe I shall simply send transgressors your way from now on.
