Deliverance
Aug 31, 2018 · 1 min read
I wandered with the moon last night
She lit up my foot prints ever so softly
But told me the rest was for me to see
She led me into temptation but said
I had of necessity to deliver myself
I went for a run with the sun today
He was brilliant as hell but blindingly — he
Showed me more than I’d ever dared see
And though I sensed my psyche in peril
Every cell of me ached for his heat
I sank down with weighted heart tonight
Supported by only the dim light within
I watered my soul with the tears I’d bled
When the moon said I’ve been waiting for
You — can we walk together please?
