I can’t honestly say that I’ve done more than my share to uphold the truth.
My writing makes no sense anymore because I can’t make sense of what I’ve already said

I can’t even begin to tell you how much you and your words have done. Although I’ve been supportive to the cause for decades, Medium has made a huge difference in my activity level and my strength to speak out — and no one has made more of a difference than you, with your bravery, honesty, and pure, raw emotion. What I “knew” before, I now feel viscerally. This has made me speak out more loudly and unequivocally, both here and in my personal life, and attend more marches and protests. Another reader friend told me recently that Medium had “radicalized” him on the issue and I know he’s doing more, as well. I’m sure we’re not alone.

I know I apologize for us white people a lot, but I truly am sorry, and I’m sorry you’re struggling right now. Hopefully more white people will fill in some of the blanks as we should have been all along. But please know how important your words are.
