Oh my gosh, Irene, I don’t think I could have said all of this better myself! Sure, Bernie had much to like. Sure, Hillary was imperfect. Hillary was much more likely to get stuff done — and would have been a crap-ton better than what we got. Third party? Sure, great idea, but unlikely to happen in a meaningful way. I have loved some of the third-party options over the years, but also recognized that voting for them was the same as voting for the candidate I wanted least.

At the end of the day, each and every voter should look at the candidates they have in front of them, not the ones who ran some other month or year, and vote for their best interests and the interests of the country. And the Democratic party should stop licking its wounds; their platform should be loud and clear.
