Yay dad, and yay you for defending him! This has been my philosophy for years, whether it’s politics, science, religion or any topic whatsoever — I tell my kids to question Everything. Whenever someone has tried to sell me on their religion, I’ve asked them what made it better than, say, Buddhism, or Muslim, and very few have been able to answer. The same often holds true for politics. If you don’t know why you’re for what you’re for (or against what you’re against), then you’re simply a Mynah bird.
