What’s for lunch Mom?

This is now a daily ritual that I will partake in for the next 13 years. And for 12 of those years it will be for two separate little mouths that I need to feed.

This is my very first attempt. I was so proud of myself. I was prepared with the right stainless steal container, frozen ice packs that were flat as a piece of bread and a nice insulated lunch bag. I asked my son what he wanted for lunch and I packed exactly what he asked for.

I was so excited that he would have a nice well balanced lunch. That was safely kept cold in his backpack.

And yet the reality is… he barely ate any of it. All he ate was the chicken and one grape.

Now I have to admit he did eat the snacks.. The granola bar and gummies (fiber gummies = win for mom!)

When I asked him why he didn’t eat… all he said was he finished his turkey and then he didn’t have any more time.

I’m pretty sure he talked the whole lunch period and ran out of time to start eating!

One day at a time… or one lunch at a time:)
