THANK YOU for reminding us all that childhood is not what it’s cracked up to be. I hated childhood; it was entrapment. No choices, no options, no freedom. And in that twilight of my memory before the internet arrived, I was truly alone. I had no barometer to judge the behavior of those around me, I didn’t know what was acceptable and I was told that everything was my fault. Adulthood is so much better. It’s stressful, it’s different, and I still don’t have all the freedom I want. But at least I have choices and the ability to build a life. If I didn’t daydream, I would not be alive.
