Finishing up most of the framework

I started writing a framework to aid my game development project in much more efficient way 3 months ago. The framework is mostly coded in C# since my first project will be running on Unity, but it can be used on any C# projects.

So far it features:

  • Dynamic content management and modding through any markup language (requires a driver for each language and though it currently only supports YAML, it wouldn’t take more than a few hours to write one for XML or JSON).
  • Scripting engine and sandbox support for advanced modding features. It uses Lua as the scripting language.
  • A library of powerful tools for creating complex yet easy-to-use objects for games.

It still needs a lot of work, but the base framework is shaped nicely for me to start working on the actual game.

I call it, the Vision framework.

I can’t wait to finally work on my game itself.
