Magic in mundane

After thinking about a bunch of pop-culture references, back-spacing, intentional humor attempts, it finally dawned upon me that I don’t really need to write a click-baity introduction or try too hard. Whatever little time I’ve spent in the advertising industry, digital to be precise, has mentally conditioned me to always begin any content piece with an introduction, end with a parting thought and sell my brand as much as I can.

So, I’m going to try doing things a little differently here, literally typing what my mind dictates me to. This is my version of magic in mundane. To enunciate this better: little satisfying things in your regular mundane life that you fail to appreciate enough. Here goes:

  1. Preparing your best comebacks/solo performances/future TED talks in the shower. Let no amount of hair fall and strands sticking all over your body stop you.
  2. Poha & Chai for breakfast is good. Eating a spoonful of Poha, taking a sip of Chai and chewing it all together in your mouth is better.
  3. Those 45 minutes in the morning spent while traveling to work, headphones plugged in, not a care about what’s planned ahead, what was left behind. Prepare mental dance moves, think about something, think about nothing, the world is yours and only yours.
  4. When the office boy is ready with a cup of coffee, within the exact 15 minutes you’ve entered your workplace. I’m no Batman, but I’d never say no to having my own Alfred.
  5. Lunch-time. Because food. Because complementing it by watching the series you’ve previously binge-watched, at least twice is so much fun.
  6. Hugs that feel like home: From that special someone, from Mom, from your imaginary dog (no, I don’t have any issues), friends like family, all of them. Bring them on!
  7. Men & women have 1 thing in common: Both are happiest when a woman takes off her bra. Ladies, you know you love it when you finally come home after a long day at work and take off that bra! I know I do.
  8. A good dinner. Never to be under-estimated, just like a good breakfast.
  9. Realizing that it’s Saturday and you don’t have to be at work tomorrow.
  10. Sleep. You know what’s a real badass thing to do though? Not setting an alarm, even when there’s office the next day. *moonwalks her way out*
