Google, Amazon etc were born out of the first internet wave in the US during the 90s. A decade or so later, China built its own Google, named Baidu and practically drove Google out, which otherwise, has a global search engine market share of roughly 80%. Circa 2015, by the same logic, where is India’s Google? Or Microsoft? Or Twitter?

Quoting china’s eg. makes it sound like every country has a google of its own and india is an exception. Which is not true. Moreover, this reflects lack of strategy on the part of the govt. Like China, we shouldve banned google and let our home grown players mature.
