Digibyte — Why Invest?
I have been involved in a blockchain technology called Digibyte for sometime now, contributing ideas for security and development. It is a public, rapidly growing and highly decentralized blockchain. they are digital assets, similar to bitcoin, and obviously cannot be destroyed, counterfeited or hacked, making them ideal for protecting objects of value like currency, information, property or important digital data.
Like most other crypto coins, dgb can be sent over the DigiByte Blockchain and forever recorded on an immutable public ledger that is decentralized on thousands of computers across the planet.
So what makes it different?
After 4 years of consistent development, rapid community growth and new use cases, the DigiByte Blockchain has become the world’s longest, fastest and most secure UTXO blockchain in existence. I’ll use numbers.
Bitcoin supports 7 transactions per second with 10 minutes of block time. Bitcoin Cash supports 34TPS and 10 minutes block, Western Union supports 30, Litecoin supports 56tps with a 2.5min block time, and Paypal supports 130TPS.
Digibyte currently supports 560TPS and only 15 seconds of block time, and 2000TPS by 2020 and exponentially growing 280,000TPS in the near future. you should also note that it means it is the longest and most secure UTXO blockchain in the world but with a lightning speed support. this shows future.
5 Algorithms: DigiByte uses five secure and advanced cryptographic mining algorithms to prevent mining centralization compared to single algorithm blockchains. that translates to still minable, and a surviving soul in a 51% attacks, a lot more than the other leading & popular blockchain technologies.
Blockchain Rigidity: DigiByte transactions, unlike other transactions on other blockchains, are limited in size and scope to increase speed, efficiency, and throughput. Most importantly this maintains security.
Scalability: From the year 2014 through 2035 only 21 billion DigiBytes can be created in 21 years. that is also the reason why its value is lower even when its volume keeps growing, which at the time of writing is about ~400mil USD$ and a 0.03$ USD value per coin, which is obviously a good time to get in with this sleeping giant. recently a lot of exchanges started accepting digibyte so its volume is floating to over 60mil USD$.
On top of all that, Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash adjust their difficulty delay in about 2 weeks average Bitcoin at the of writing this also got 27$ average transaction fee Litecoin got 3 days delay to adjust difficulty & 0.30$ average transaction fee. Digibytes difficulty however is adjusted in real time, its average transaction fee is lower than 0.001$ while supplying a realistic and incredibly lightning speed and security
A year ago, digibytes were worth around 0.00024$ and at the time of writing this post, one of them is worth a 0.034$ — which shows the rapid value growth.
So to summarize, its the best.
I urge we all to wait no more, and to join the open source community and start contributing to the DigiByte project or begin building your own app on top of the DGB blockchain.
