Stage One — Events and Results
Ship Rogue-Like (SRL) contains different stages you must in order to reach the next one, as the stages go on, the game increases in speed and difficulty. During the stage one, there are seven scripted encounters for this stage, all of which are pre-determined. For later stages encounters are randomized such that every play through is different. Thus, in later levels only general aspects of encounters are presented, knowing that they will all be randomized. Each encounter created to challenge both you and your ship.
Enemy Wave
A wave of enemies descends on SAM, and the first weapon power up and drone are received. A tutorial occurs teaching the player about weapon upgrades and drone acquisition and training.

High Speed Space Debris
A high-speed collection of space debris passes by the ship, requiring Charlie to switch into 3D view. A tutorial outlines the difference between 2D and 3D view for the player, and when to use each perspective.
Enemy Resource Harvesting
A simple wave of enemies passes. After enemies are defeated SAM teaches Charlie (Tutorial) how to harvest resources and how to repair SAM using the items harvested from defeated ships.

Expert Wave of Enemies
A more difficult enemy wave comes down on SAM and Charlie, leading to the potential to acquire a second weapon upgrade.
Large Debris Field
A large debris field and enemy wave occurs at once. If the player is dexterous, they can acquire a second drone upgrade.
Upgrade Fly By
Two free upgrades (weapon and drone) float in front of the player, in preparation for the final battle.

Multi-Armed Robot Battle
SAM and Charlie must disable a large multi-armed robot by taking out one arm at a time. This, in all likelihood, will require switching between 3D and 2D mode several times. In 2D mode SAM can easily see all objects around the ship and dodge. In 3D mode SAM can target weak areas of the robot and avoid any obstacles coming from far in the distance at high speed.
