Views in 2D mode and 3D mode
As a single player space, combat space simulator game, Ship Rogue-Like (SRL) allows you to explore the vastness of space with your ship SAM and passenger Charlie in two different modes. Throughout the game, the player has the ability to navigate between 2d-side scrolling arcade game and a 3d-space flight simulator with a single button press. Both 2d and 3d mode have their individual perks, offering many different ways to tackle the game. Here are some perks of both view screens;
2d mode
In this mode, the view screen will have a scrolling arcade game model. It’s an ideal mode for navigating asteroid fields as it allows you to anticipate flying objects, ships and bullets. This makes it ideal for combat and an ‘all around’ view of the ship.

3d mode
This mode comes with many perks, it’s the only way to see health, status of subsystems, and all other systems allowing you to fully understand the capabilities of your ship. It’s ideal for navigating you ship and travelling long distances. In addition, it provides you the opportunity to explore within asteroids and space stations.

The decision is always in your hands, which will you pick?
