Great animation shorts through the years
Back in design school, I came across an interesting collection of short films by masters in the animation world. Each of these shorts has their own distinct set of attributes and unique expression of storytelling with memorable characters. Some stories have been adapted from great novels while others address social or environmental issues. Here’s a curation of 5 short animation films for you to check out:
1. Father and Daughter by Michaël Dudok De Wit (2000)
This film begins with a father bidding farewell to his young daughter before setting out on a quest across the sea. As the seasons change and as the years pass by, the daughter regularly visits the shore in anticipation of her father’s return.
