None of this is actually true, the military is a very strong gendering mechanism in Israel, which continues into society. There’s not a lot of equality in the Israely armi, it only looks that way from outside. And in Hitec and software there is maybe 23% percent women, and the percentage has been deteriorating over the years and when you go up in hierarchy. In startups there are even less women. The hitec community is quite a closed community, and networking in the army is one of the reasons for that.
