Journey to Less Shittiness (week 32 abbr.)
Every week, I log my progress of going from a shitty screenwriter to…hopefully a less shitty one.
This is an abbreviated one because I’ve been traveling, don’t have my normal computer, and haven’t had a whole lot of time to get this done. So I’m doing a quick, one or two-sentence per point overview of the work I’ve done this week, then I’ll do a full, two-week recap next Sunday.
Work Log
1 script: LOGAN (screenplay by Scott Frank, James Mangold, Michael Green) I’ve got some ways to go on reading this. Very good so far.
2 movies:
AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (screenplay by Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely) Surprisingly pleased by this one. Good antagonists, not too much boredom.
LEARNING TO DRIVE (screenplay by Sarah Kernochan) Disappointing. Some bright spots, Ben Kingsley, but overall, didn’t connect.
7 pages: Finished up my TV spec! Big achievement of the week.
14 pomodoros: Got maybe four of these done. Not too much. Need to rethink my approach to these.
NEXT WEEK: Well, I have to finish LOGAN, then I’ll be shifting focus back to this short film. Planning on shooting in August. Lots to do.
