Contingent Assignment

If an employee is working in a foreign country, a global assignment type may be used to track their employment information relative to the country they are working in.

Maternity/Paternity Assignment

For employees going on maternity or paternity leave, a specific assignment type can be used to record this period of absence.

Concurrent Assignment

Employees with multiple active assignments at the same time use this assignment type.

Seasonal Assignment

These assignments are given to employees working only during certain seasons or periods.

Intern Assignment

This is generally used for students or new graduates undergoing internship programs.

Understanding these assignment types is crucial for HR professionals to manage a diverse and dynamic workforce effectively. Each assignment type has different parameters and tax implications and may require distinct managerial approaches.
