Hello,
Welcome to my new series of posts on a Uniform Resource Identifier(URI). We use URI all the time when we interact with the World Wide Web without knowing what it is and how it works.

In the upcoming series of posts, I will cover most of the things which are essential to know about the URI. Let’s see what there is in each post of this series.

Part-I:

The part-I covers the following things:

  • Part I introduces you to the URI and its purpose of existence.
  • It also describes the characteristics of the URI in detail.
  • And at the end of Part-I, It gives information about URL and URN, the types of the URI.

Part-II:

The part-II covers the following things:

  • First, We will study the generic syntax of the URI and how it is useful.
  • Then, We will also learn about some standard components, which get used in the formation of the URI.

Part-III:

The part-III covers the following things:

  • We will study examples of URI schemes like file, mailto, ftp, news, etc.
  • We will also see a few examples of URN namespaces like ISBN, UUID, etc.

Thanks for reading this blog. I hope you enjoy this series on the URI and learn something. If you have any suggestions or questions, please add it in the comment below, Happy Learning 👏.
