Tooth Extraction pain — Many people experience some level of discomfort after having a tooth extracted. This is normal and usually goes away within a few days. However, there are a few things you can do at home to help speed up the healing process and get relief from the pain.
Home remedies for tooth extraction pain relief
- Warm water and tea — Pour warm water into a cup and add either tea or herbal tincture. Drink slowly,15 minutes before the procedure is scheduled to begin.
- Ginger — Add 1 inch of fresh gingerroot, peeled and chopped, to a litre of boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes then cool prior to use as a toothache reliever.
- Garlic cloves — Crush two garlic cloves with your thumb and rub them on your gums after drinking equal parts white vinegar (5–6 teaspoons) mixed with 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar . This will help to relieve tooth pain.
- Ice — Add a few pieces of ice to the mouth before the procedure begins in order to reduce inflammation
