Hard work? Luck?

Today, I watched one of the tallest buildings in India being demolished. At the same time, people celebrated and enjoyed watching the magnificent building come down within a few seconds ( 15 seconds to be exact ). I couldn’t help but wonder about the feelings of people who worked on constructing it and spent tons of money on it. And it made me realize a few things. Hard work is not everything. You can keep working hard, but because you didn’t do it with due diligence and intelligently, you have a high chance of failing, and in the end, you will wonder why you failed even though you worked so hard. And people around you will say one thing “ hard luck “. You will start blaming it on your luck. It is an impulse response to make oneself feel better about their year of work. But is it true? Don’t get me wrong, I believe in luck, but luck is a temporary factor. With your hard work and smartness, one can beat luck over a period of time with consistency. But there is no substitute for prior. To quote a few lines from one of the most amazing songs ever Hall of Fame “You can move a mountain, you can break rocks. You could be a master, don’t wait for luck. Dedicate yourself and you gon’ find yourself standing in the hall of fame” How do you get motivated enough to be consistent?

Visualize the result and live it as it has already happened.

Dream Big.
