You may have a great idea but not every time it’s true that the idea you have is also beneficial for others thus before starting any venture you must run a small test on your concept which will determine how useful and is a need in the market for your SaaS because if there are no customers then there won’t be any sales due to which you won’t be able to keep running your SaaS idea. So let’s jump into the right strategy that we can follow to validate the SaaS idea before implementation.

But before we jump in, I want to share the book that I’ve written book “Cheat Code to Build a SaaS”, In this book I’ve explained all the steps, tips, and tricks, some valuable resources, and how you can kick off with your SaaS. This book will answer most of your questions and in case if you have any further questions feel free to contact me.

First, we will need a website simple site which describes the idea and all the features that it is going to offer, For building such a website we can make use of Figma. This will allow us to create a basic UI/UX of our website we can pick any template from free SaaS templates for Figma.

https://www.figma.com/community/tag/saas/files

Once you’ve chosen your favorite template you can start editing it with your graphics, branding, logo, and the name of the product. Remember we don’t need to make a complex UI/UX we just need something to test our idea. After giving the finishing touches to your website now it’s time to start some coding, but don’t worry we won’t be doing actual coding instead, we will be using Framer it’s a great tool to convert your actual website designs from Figma into real code you can directly use the extension of Framer into your Figma and import the design there.

For the contents and copy you can make use of ChatGPT to generate some like the following prompt I use,

Please ignore all previous instructions.
Please respond only in english language.
You are writing a 3-line subject for a hero section on a marketing site.
The product is an WHAT_EVER_YOUR_IDEA_IS_DESCRIBE_HERE

This will give you some nice copy and content for your website that you can use. Great! Now once you have taken care of all these things let’s fire up the Formspark We will be using this tool to add a Sign-Up form for early access on our website we can offer any kind of discounts or offer for early access to motivate people to sing up for our SaaS product.

https://formspark.io/

Now once all these things are set and we have our early signup access form ready let’s jump to Facebook Ads Manager

https://www.facebook.com/business/tools/ads-manager

I will create an ad where my daily limit for spending would be $10-$12 and I will run this ad for at least a week. A week's time is totally fine to check how many users have signed up for your idea. Make sure you choose the right audience and target market for your Facebook Ads campaigns.

You can also use TinyKiwi or Canva to design your campaign ads.

Now after a week if you have received over and around 40–50 signs then your idea is good if it’s greater than that then your idea is best but if it’s below 30 then your idea may have a smaller target audience. Also, I would say you can run 2–3 campaigns to check the variations and results.

Whatever your results come it will help you to identify the right market and validate your SaaS idea.

Also, one last thing in case if you are developing an AI-based SaaS application then you might be worth checking this book I wrote.

Feel free to reach me in case of any doubts. 🤗
