For living in the Bay Area you are well compensated. I have always found it amusing that developers come here expecting the big cash, and they get it. Then it is a culture shock that they have to spend the same percentage in housing as they did before.

Having lived in this area all my life, I have seen people come and go. It is true, San Francisco will reject you if you are not “one of us”. You come here with stars in your eyes just like the actors and actresses do when they hit Hollywood. Life is what YOU make of it and wherever you go, there YOU are.

Sigh, can’t please everyone….
