Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a comprehensive suite of cloud computing services offered by Google. It includes modular cloud services such as computing, data storage, data analytics, machine learning, and management tools. GCP operates on the same infrastructure Google uses for its end-user products, like Google Search, Gmail, and Google Docs.

GCP provides several cloud services, including infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and serverless computing environments. This versatility allows users to choose the service model that best fits their needs.

The Platform is a part of the broader Google Cloud, which encompasses not only the Google Cloud Platform public cloud infrastructure but also Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), enterprise versions of Android and ChromeOS, and various application programming interfaces (APIs) for machine learning and enterprise mapping services.

GCP offers over 100 products under its brand, including:

Compute Services: App Engine (PaaS for deploying applications), Compute Engine (IaaS for running virtual machines), Google Kubernetes Engine (Containers as a Service), Cloud Functions (Functions as a Service), and Cloud Run (compute execution environment).
Storage and Databases: This includes Cloud Storage (object storage with integrated edge caching), Cloud SQL (Database as a Service), Cloud Bigtable (managed NoSQL database service), and several others.
Networking: Services like Virtual Private Cloud, Cloud Load Balancing, and Cloud CDN are offered for efficient networking and content delivery.
Big Data: BigQuery (data warehouse for analytics), Cloud Dataflow (service for stream and batch data processing), and other data processing and management tools.
Cloud AI: Cloud AutoML, Cloud TPU, and Cloud Machine Learning Engine, among others, for AI and machine learning applications.
Management Tools: These include the Operations Suite for monitoring and managing applications, Cloud Deployment Manager, Cloud Console, and Cloud Shell.
