Most common mistakes people do while deciding lighting for there homes
There are so many types of LED lights available in the market. The main question that arises is Why are there so many different types of LED lights and what is the difference between them?
If you ask that question in Chandani Chowk, Bhagirath Palace, which is the biggest market of lighting in India, 99 percent of them won’t be able to answer that question and they will try to dodge you to believe in there own invented theory. So If there are so many types then there must be reason behind developing so many different LED lights with different trims and intensity.
So I will try to answer that with my blog. For that you needs to understand some fundamentals about lighting first. Before discussing that let me first list out the most common mistakes that people do while deciding lighting for there homes
1. Submersible devices placed in the ceiling (called Spot Light) everywhere.

This is considered the most common mistake that a lot of people do. They think that the easiest way to get the lighting is to use equal lighting in all spaces and rooms.
It reduces the quality of lighting and makes the place seem charmless resulting in high electricity consumption with bad quality of the lighting.

2. Misusing of scallops making wall look ugly and distractive
Why the image on the right is wrong because our attention always goes to the brightest part first and when you look at the painting our attention first goes above the painting as it is more brighter and then goes to the painting.

3. Using of lighting devices causing glare
For true visual comfort, you don’t just need the right amount of illumination. Light needs to be well distributed to avoid discomfort. Poor lights cause glare, making it annoying and uncomfortable

Suggestion: Avoid using panel light and use COB light with good cut-off angle

4. Not using lighting focused on precious stuff to show it attractively.
Using equal lighting across the room makes it look charmless and boring & to get rid of that one must focus lighting on valuable objects like paintings, photos etc.

5. To use narrow beam (Spot light) in front of the mirror
This is one of the most common & repeated mistake which leads to the formation of a strong shades. It increases the intensity of the shadows when you lay hands on the face during cleaning or shaving or putting makeup which hinders good vision

6. Exaggeration in the use of decorative lighting setups
Many people put large volumes of decorative hardware & lighting in large numbers, thinking that these devices will make lighting attractive but it is just the opposite, annoying and makes that a bleak place.

Try to observe these mistakes in your day to day surroundings, until next time..
