No Act of Kindness is Ever Wasted

Kindness…! It is something that can change a whole situation within seconds. It can console broken hearts, give hope to the lost, bring smile on gloomy faces, It can restore a person’s faith in Humanity and make people believe that there is good in this world. Constant kindness can even melt a Heart of Stone. It can boost up someone’s confidence in themselves. What goes around comes around, so by giving away kindness you receive kindness in return.
We are constituted so that simple acts of kindness, such as giving to charity or expressing gratitude, have a positive effect on our long-term moods.
-Paul Bloom
Kindness is a sum of compassion , humility, dignity, and respect. Compassion is empathy and caring about the feelings of others. Humility is to be humble, not boastful or arrogant. Respect is to treat others with courtesy and honor. Dignity is being worthy to be honored or esteemed.

But here’s the thing, we can’t define Kindness by any mathematical formula. We need to inculcate this behavior in ourselves on daily basis. We never know what a person is going through. He might be normally standing there but in his mind he can be very stressed about something. A simple act of kindness can make him happy. So it’s important to be kind with everyone every time.
Treat everyone with respect and kindness. Period. No exceptions.

So about the 5 random acts of kindness I did:
1. Helped my sister:
In the morning my younger sister was getting late for school. Mama was preparing her breakfast and she needed to get some of her work done. So I offered help I asked her to take her breakfast and I pressed her uniform and packed her lunch box. In this way she was ready in no time. Even these simple things made her happy.

2. Fed a cat:
Now this act is not something that I did for just one day. I saw a cat in our backyard one day and I asked my mother If I could give something to him as he looked tired and hungry. Me and my younger sister, we started giving him milk daily. Now he comes here daily since he knows he has a place where he could get rid of his hunger. And knowing this makes me happy…!

3. Helped a friend:
I got a call from an old friend yesterday. She was my school friend. We were pretty close. I was very happy talking to her. She needed my help and I was happy to do so. She asked me if I had some notes of English essays that I wrote in college. I asked my brother to take me to her home. I went there, met her and her family after so long and it felt great. I took the essays she wanted and she was really happy and thankful for the favor.
4. Helped my Mother:
When I came home from University today, my mother had a headache. And my sister needed to prepare for her important test. Despite of being tired myself I went to the kitchen. Brought out meat from the freezer, mixed all the ingredients and Voila! I made “Chapalli Kababs” for everyone. My mother was very happy that I helped her. Everyone loved the kababs :D

5. Helped a friend with assignment:
One of my friends is in the Saturday-Sunday session of Amal. She was worried about how to write the Job Description. I offered her to mail her mine for help. She thanked me a lot.
