So It’s been 3 years and my 7th semester has began. Excitement is there but Nervousness takes it down. Nervousness about what next? What challenges I’ll have to face? How would I be able to cope with them?

But there’s always a way to get things done. And I am trying my best to get things done rightly.

Although the final internships will start in January next year. One of our teachers suggested that we should start getting our internship letters signed and we should apply in Hospitals right away, because of the limited seats. The sooner we apply the better. So we got our letters printed and opted to go for the “Military Hospital, Rawalpindi”. Sir signed our letters and now we needed to go to Rawalpindi for the letter submission and confirmation of enrollment.

I got a call from my friend the same day at about 7 pm that we need to depart from Faisalabad the very next morning. It was a sudden plan so I got my stuff ready and went to sleep early. We woke up at 4 am and reached the Bus Station at 5 am. Got our tickets from the counter and settled down in our seats. I had my Resume with me.

On reaching there It felt great Since The Military Hospital Rawalpindi is the largest hospital of the Pakistan Armed Forces, being one of the hospitals in the Pakistan Army with an ISO certification.

We struggled a lot to find our relevant office Since it was a last moment plan we didn't get much time to do our research. But we found the person who helped us with the letter and sent us to Mr. Shahid Randhawa. He guided us about the further process. I took the opportunity and handed over my resume to him, and started saying my elevator pitch. He was in a hurry though but he appreciated me and it was a great experience for me as well.

I learned that going there yourself actually matters. It gets people to remember you. I faced difficulty, I was speaking halting English because of how nervous I was. But I calmed my nerves and got the words out right and it actually sounded pretty well. Next time I’ll try to be more confident and more ready.
