Awesome work, Kimberly!!! For those of us lucky enough to survive and keep on plugging away, it doesn’t really get any better rather we just become tougher and more resilient. Making a lifetime career of your chosen tech field requires a serious love of what you do and requires that you continually reinvent yourself. All-too-often it also means becoming a specialist and/or giving up on any hope of advancement. Often only the higher salaries make it worthwhile.

I have experienced most or all of the stereotypes, double-standards and can vouch for the realization that you’re being pushed out if you do not deliver 2x the standard good ole’ boy performance.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
