The Turtle Club Punta Gorda
Turtle Club is located on W Marion Ave in the heart of downtown Punta Gorda
It has been said that history will repeat itself, and in the case of Downtown Punta Gorda and the Turtle Club, the people are really elated that it did. The Turtle Club reopened in October of last year and has been a breath of fresh air to the Downtown area. People have been flocking to the location to see the newly renovated dining room and outdoor patio. It is simply the place to be right now.
The building sat empty for 6 years, quite and unassuming, that is until Chris Evans had something to say about it. Charlotte Harbor native, Evans has spent his entire career in Restaurant and hospitality management, and this renovations speaks volumes to his talents.
The restaurant is simply beautiful,
from the wood ceiling beams to the icy claw bar, this place has something for everyone. The outdoor seating comes with a view that rivals any tropical paradise with live music playing every Thursday night from 6:60–9:30 P.M.
You can find the Schortz’s, Dryburgh’s, and Riley’s dining together every Thursday at the Turtle club. Lynda Schortz said. “I have had almost everything on the menu, and I can safely say, I have never been disappointed.” Bill Dryburgh got straight to the point adding, “Chris is an amazing guy. He has brought this place back to life, it has be resurrected.” Glowing reviews such as these seem to be flooding the internet and local social media.
“Their philosophy of gracious hospitality is the cornerstone of their success at all their Southwest Florida establishments,” said Mr. Evans of the Turtle Club, and this Punta Gorda location is no different.
The service will in fact bring people back, not to mention the amazing array of seafood and choice cuts of beef.
Daily specials will be sure to please the most discerning pallets with many options to choose from. The claw bar hosts a variety of seafood including Oysters, shrimp, whole Maine lobsters, marinated blue crab claws, stone crab, and snow crab. If your mouth isn’t watering yet, try the homemade mustard lime vinaigrette that the seafood is served with. I dare you to be displeased.
With the conclusion of your meal,
your bill will be delivered to you in a book, where you will be asked to sign your name and any thoughts you had about your meal.
That book is then housed on a shelf in the dining room and will be delivered to you again at your next visit. It is a wonderful way to connect guests and it gives them a personal way to record their experiences.
