Make Your Own Rhyming Poem

Start with A — B — C and end with X — Y — Z

It is as easy as One, Two, Three — — when sitting alone under the Olde Oak tree.

A — B — C — Rhyme Time

Ant starts with an A — Miss Ant lives on a hill, with her big sister Jill.

Banana starts with a B — Bananas turn yellow, and are very mellow.

Cat starts with a C — Cats will go and hide, but never in a beehive.

Can the following idea for young families become a tradition and create a memory that will last a long time for each child?

Supper is done — let us run
To the table — if we‘re able
Create a rhyme — it is family time

If you have any children's books, like the Little Golden Books, that many of us remember, place them on the table with some crayons and a plain sheet of paper.

Here is how this might work.

One child picks up a book and finds a picture. To make it easy, let’s say that they saw a dog. That becomes the word for the night and is used by everyone around the table to make a line that rhymes, as you see below.
