Portable Sand blasting machine

Sand blasting machine is used to smooth rough surfaces, remove rust or corrosion from metal surfaces, clean or shape a surface using abrasive material known as media which is propelled using high pressure typically through compressed air or a centrifugal wheel. There are many different types of sandblasting machines such as Portable Sandblaster, Automatic Sand Blaster, Blast Cabinet, Tumblers and many more.

Sandblasters are machines that use abrasive materials with air pressure to clean or prepare surfaces for painting or other coatings. Sandblasters are also used for shot peening to remove contaminants from metal products that have been cast or forged or formed and in some cases welded. Abrasive media is put in a tank and air pressure to the same pressure you would be sandblasting. The media is then by gravity dropped into a blast hose line which will push it out of a blast nozzle at whatever the air pressure we are using.

Sand blasting machines are used in many industrial areas, construction and even crafts. Glass is frosted with a sandblaster usually for design or art work. Large ships are sand blasted to clean up the rust for repainting. Cement walls are sand blast for appearance and also to clean off graffiti. Sandblasters are used in car restoration and old tractor and trucks to remove old paint and rust. Railroad cars are reconditioned by sandblasting the entire car to repaint. Many industries use sandblasting there process for several purposes.

A Portable Sand blasting machine is often used by small and mid-sized industries such as Paint Shops, Auto Repair industry, Powder Coating Industry, Floor and Surface Cleaning Service Providers and many more. They can move easily from one place to another without any hurdle.

There are various types of media that can be used in sandblaster depending on the requirement and the surface that has to be smoothen, roughen or cleaned such as Sand, stainless steel shots, cut wire shots, aluminum oxide grit, glass beads, steel shots, steel grits, copper slag and many other.

Sand blasting must be carried out with proper safety equipments in place and must be handled with care otherwise it can cause anaphylactic shock to the operator or the person getting in contact. So the operator must use sandblasting safety wear while working. It includes operator’s suit, rubber hand gloves, gum boots, helmet, etc.
