Only the Perfect Enter

“O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?” (Psalm 15:1 ESV)

David is asking the question each and every one of us desires to know, if only in the deepest part of who we are. Who can be around the Creator? God, who can be in your presence?

The psalmist answers his own question and give us a bit of a sense of dread. Did you catch it? On the righteous man can dwell there. The one that is blameless and has not been corrupted. He does not evil.

We can step back from Psalm 15, when we read it rightly, concerned that we don’t qualify. And let me tell you the worst kept secret, you don’t qualify. Even you best is not good enough. It is never the perfection required.

Now, don’t stay in that despair, because if you are in Jesus, have believed in Christ, you are the perfect person. Made perfect by the unspotted righteousness of Jesus. Once and for all. You can dwell on the holy hill, you are God’s honor guest in his tent. In Christ, nothing can get in the way of your secure presence before the throne.

So who can dwell on the holy hill? You can if you have believe in Jesus. Today, rest in the knowledge of your dwelling place with God.
