Turn and Live

“For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord GOD; so turn, and live.” (Ezekiel 18:32 ESV)

God is not a tyrant that enjoys death and punishment. I think sometime we can approach him like he is. No, he is loving, gracious and he takes no pleasure in the death of anyone. So he invites us to turn from our old slavery to sin, to new life.

After the cross of Christ this invitation has wonderful benefits. It is a finished work for us; the perfection required to be in the presence of God is accomplished by Jesus and made to be ours. Rejoice at this news!

And this truth is also a great message of hope to everyone we encounter. They no longer have to live under burden and false identities. They can be free, they can turn and live.

Let this word of God’s desire for all and his gift of the cross be an encouragement today. Share it with someone that they might live.
