A day at Mount Rainier National Park, WA: Must visit places

The silent Rainier,

The turbulent falls,

Their drops participating in forming multiple vibrant rainbows,

some too tiny and a big one covering the entire rocks.

Sunny everywhere

but clouds in front of the mighty Rainier.

Oh, if we had seen it from the other side that day,

chosen a different hike along a different way,

we might have got a chance to capture a full sight of this huge white.

Clouds and rains but no sun at the “Sunrise point”

anyway, we shouldn’t have expected as our timing was not right!

On the other hand, had we taken a different trail start,

we could have missed the pretty greenery on the snow which has all my heart.

You see, sometimes the sun takes over, sometimes the clouds, darkness and peace at other times,

but that’s how we — the humans understand the true value and role of different things on the similar lines!

Thus, the science, nature and life choose to teach us,

Hold on, take a deep breath and thank The Universe!

It’s a ~3 hour drive from Seattle and below are the points we visited that day:

  1. Christine Falls
  2. Narada Falls
  3. Paradise Skyline Trail
  4. Ruby falls
  5. Reflection lakes
  6. Sunrise Point

There are many other attractions like Fremont lookout trail, Naches Peak loop, Myrtle falls, Tolmie Peak and other places that you will find in google and AllTrails app but you need atleast 3–4 days to explore and cover all the top rated viewpoints. We started a bit late around 8–9 AM and still made it to above 6 places easily even with taking long breaks after almost every stop, as well as for lunch. We spent around 2–3 hours just in Paradise Skyline Trail waiting for the clear skies (much of it already described above). There are places to pause and eat but we carried food with us, that saved some time in the queues. All in all, this is indeed one of the best Parks in Washington. We will certainly visit it again this summer for the places that we skipped last time.
