This blog is about a recent podcast I did with a couple from Quito, Ecuador. Clara and Stephania are a lesbian couple and during this podcast they taught me some really valuable lessons. I want to share 3 storytelling lessons that I learned from them.

  1. Everybody around us has an interesting story: The story that they shared were from their personal life. One of the story that I really liked was how did they meet. They met playing soccer but its those little details that makes a story intresting. Like Clara and Stephania, everybody has a story which is special for them.
  2. Storytellers are genuine and simple: The stories that they shared in the podcast were simple and genuine. The way they expressed it was so genuine, from their story I was just able to connect with them, know who they are. I just felt like it was so natural.
  3. Storytelling is a form of art: Like any other art, the more you do it, the better you get at it. One of the things I noticed about Clara and Stephania Instagram posts were, they have a story in each of their Instagram post. Stories are about people and what makes it special to them.

Good storytellers are good communicators.
