I Read Because reading is the only way to become aware of the patterns we are creating in our lives. Patterns whose understanding, and our need to disrupt them, would only loop us into further patterning. A book affects us by breaking our incumbent thinking process, and creating new patterns out of it; we hold onto them till the next book arrives, and the process starts all over again. I call this as the vortextual thinking (of course, I am yet to patent this term!) — the expansion of our imagination, and hence intelligence, by spiraling out of its limits. Simply put, I READ TO IMPROVE MY VORTEXTUAL THINKING.

The books I’m currently reading are:

  1. Friedrich Nietzsche’s Thus Spoke Zarathustra
  2. Francis Ponge’s poems
