What Invitation Says ?
We rank candidates in the pool using a points-based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). We select the highest-ranking candidates from the pool and invite them to apply for permanent residence.
Each invitation round has a set of instructions that are:
posted online at the time of the invitation round.
used by the Express Entry system to invite candidates from the pool.
The instructions include:
the date and time of the invitation round.
the number of candidates that will get an invitation to apply.
which immigration program(s) are included in the round (some invitation rounds may only invite candidates for 1 program, for example only from Federal Skilled Trades).
Check your score and then use this information to see how likely you are to get an invitation in the next round.
Generally, draws occur every two weeks. The increase or decrease of a minimum cut-off depends on the time gap between two consecutive draws. On increasing the time-gap between the draws, the Express Entry pool receives more number of applications from higher-scoring candidates which ultimately leads to the higher cut-off score in the coming draws.
The tie-break used in todays draw by IRCC was November 11, 2019, at 6:29:10 UTC. It means that all those candidates who received at least CRS score of 471 and entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before the tie-break date and time are eligible to receive an ITA through the draw.
This larger draw size reflects the higher admissions targets for both 2019 and 2020. So this is the right time to apply for PR through the Express entry system. If you want to consider your profile for Express Entry pool, you need to first check your eligibility. On being eligible, create your profile for Express Entry pool.
Based on factors like age, work experience, education, proficiency in English or French, connections in Canada and more, your profile gets CRS score. In case you do not get sufficient score for EE draw, then you can apply to express entry-linked Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Nominated candidates are awarded with an additional 600 points in their EE score and move them to the front of the line for an ITA.
In the recent weeks, Express Entry-linked PNPs of Saskatchewan, Alberta, Nova Scotia, Manitoba and British Columbia have invited Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. The Alberta Express Entry Stream draw on November 6 is a leading example for inviting 148 Express Entry candidates with scores as low as 400.
