Ever Realised?

Ever looked up at the night sky and realized you are staring into infinity?

Ever looked at the seemingly tiny stars and realized they are bigger than the planet you are sitting on?

Ever realized you are a talking monkey stuck on a giant ball hurtling through infinite space?

Ever realized you are staring into the past when you look at the stars?

Ever realized you are not bigger than a tiny molecule on a speck of dust in the vast design?

Ever realized you won’t be able to explore completely even that ‘tiny speck of dust’?

Ever realized you are a part of the caretaker generation; too late to explore the earth, too early to explore the cosmos?

Ever realized you will disappoint more people than you will make happy?

Ever felt that sinking in your stomach when you realize your parents are proud of you, even when you know there is nothing to be proud of?

Ever wanted to, for once, be the person your mother believes you are?

Ever wanted to, for once, see the tears of joy and pride in your father’s eyes for something you have done?

Ever wanted to, for once, be a role model to your siblings?

Ever wanted to be the ideal friend?

Ever realized this world is trying hard to clip your wings?

Ever realized you are a part of that world, and you are the ‘world’ clipping your wings?

Ever realized there are more questions in this world than there are answers?

Ever realized all of these questions are meaningless?

Ever realized you don’t matter?

Love is paralytic. Hate is a much more vicious motivator.

Hate yourself. If you don’t, everyone else will do it for you.

In this cynical world, stars are your only friends.

Ever realized you have stopped looking up?
