  3. Open System Preferences
  4. Open Printers & Scanners
  5. Click the small + button on the left list

  7. Once it is complete, Change Type to “Windows printer via spoolss”
  8. Enter smb://seng-city-ps/MONOPCLA4 into the URL
  9. Choose an appropriate Name (MONOPCLA4) and Location (SMU)
  10. Under Use, choose Select Software. Search for:
HP LaserJet 9050”, if you are installing MONOPCLA4 or MONOPCLA3

  11. In the dialog box that comes up after clicking Add, check “Duplex Unit” and continue.
  12. Attempt to print something, and you will find that the printer window that comes up says that it is waiting to authenticate
  13. Open Keychain Access (Use Spotlight to find)
  14. Under the login keychain, search for “seng-city-ps”. This should appear as kind“network password”
  15. Double-click the item and enter your SMU user name (e.g. smustu\john.galt.2016) as the Account and your standard Oasis password in the password, then click Save Changes
  16. Quit Keychain Access, and the printer window.
  17. Try printing again. The document should print and disappear from the printer window. Proceed to release your document and make payment at the printing stations as per normal.
